Should I let the broker do the walk through? No. Unless you are out of town or have a business conflict that can’t be changed, you should be present at the “walk through” before the closing. Usually, everything is the way it should be, but sometimes a minor issue does arise. On a rare occasion, there is serious problem that will cause the parties to adjourn the closing. In most cases, the issues can be handled at the closing table, such as a wayward couch that the seller did not remove, or a missing light fixture. Unless it is not logistically possible, take the time to do the walk through.
